Annette Foose Obituary

Annette (Ruggiero) Foose, 63 of Beaver Brook passed away peacefully
Wednesday afternoon surrounded by her loving family at Lehigh Valley
Hospital, Hazleton Campus, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born and raised in Hazleton she was the daughter of the late Joseph and
Antonette (Plesh) Ruggiero. She was a graduate of Hazleton High School,
Class of 1978. She then went on to receive an associate degree in nursing
from Luzerne Community College.

For many years she was employed as a nurse in various local home health
care companies.

Annette was an avid reader. She enjoyed different genres and being
transported to different worlds and perspectives through her reading. For
many years she traveled in the U.S and abroad. One of the highlights of
her travel was meeting Pope John Paul II with her daughter Rebecca and
her niece Barbara. One of her favorite pass times was visiting lighthouses.
Having deep faith, she was a lifetime member of Most Precious Blood
Church, and past president of the Ladies of the Madonna del Monte. She
was an active member of the parish community.

Annette's greatest joy was being a wife, mom, sister, aunt, cousin and friend.
She relished every moment spent with her daughter Rebecca and sons.
Holidays and special occasions were always held at the family homestead
on Harrison Street. Cooking and baking with family and friends were the
heart of their home and where Annette was most happy.

As with Annette’s love of lighthouses, she also was a beacon of light. She
was beloved by everyone and shined a bright light for all who knew and
loved her gentle soul.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved
husband Lanny. They celebrated and shared 22 years of marriage.
Also preceding in death were her brothers Michael, Gerald and Joseph
Ruggiero. Her sister Gloria and husband Henry Trofinoff, nephew Joseph
Ruggiero, III, and step-grandson Quincy Foose, Jr.

Annette leaves behind her loving daughter Rebecca Foose, at home, and 3
sons, Anthony, Trevor and Jared Page, Drums, stepchildren Charles
Foose, Mountaintop, Robert Foose, Nanticoke, Lonnie Saullo and husband
Carl, West Hazleton, Quincy Foose and wife Jennifer, Berwick, Amy
Williams and husband George Herbert, Freeland.

Also surviving are her sisters and sister-in-law, Angie Tracy and husband
Michael, New Cumberland, Mary Ann Ruggiero, Hazleton, Graceann Johnson
and husband Greg, Jeddo and sister-in-law Carol Ruggiero, Lake Worth,
Florida, and numerous step grandchildren, and numerous nephews and
nieces and too many dear friends to mention.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10 AM at Most
Precious Blood Church, Hazleton. Interment will follow in Most Precious
Blood Cemetery, Hazleton.
Friends and relatives may call 9 AM to 10 AM at the church prior to the
mass.
