Brian Tarapchak, 55, formerly of Hazleton passed away unexpectedly in
San Diego, Calif., where he had been a resident the past sixteen years.
Born and raised in a loving family in Hazleton, he is the son of Lorraine M,
(Kovalick) Tarapchak and the late John Tarapchak.
Brian was a 1986 graduate of Hazleton High School. Upon graduation he
worked in the hospitality industry. In 2008 he fulfilled his dream of living on
the west coast of sunny California. He continued his career in the
hospitality industry, working in the food and beverage service.
He was a member of St. Peter and Paul’s Byzantine Catholic Church,
Beaver Meadows. Brian lived his life to the fullest enjoying the beauty of
San Diego. He was an avid Mets fan his entire life, cheering for his team.
He will always be remembered for a life filled with love and laughter.
Preceding in death was his father, John Tarapchak.
Brian leaves behind his loving and devoted mother, Lorraine M. Tarapchak,
a sister Marilyn Keegan, Kingston, brothers Leonard and wife Mary
Frances Tarapchak, Hazle Twp., and John Tarapchak, Hazle Twp. Also
surviving are four nieces and too many friends to mention

Office of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on Monday at St. Peter and
Paul’s Byzantine Catholic Church, Beaver Meadows. Burial will follow in
St. Peter and Paul’s Cemetery, Beaver Meadows.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the church prior to the
service, from 9 AM to 10 AM.
