Joseph E. Spallone 70, of Hazleton passed away Tuesday, November 20,
peacefully at his home.
Born in Fort Knox, Ky., he was the son of the late Joseph E, and Claire E. (Price)
Spallone.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers-in-law,
John (Chickie) Mehalshick and Henry Bevans, and also a nephew, Brian
Lutsky.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 51 years, Mildred (Dietrich) Spallone,
daughters, Sherri Spallone, Hazleton, Heather Spallone and fiancé, Greg Cole,
Wapwallopen, Claire Cull, and husband Jesse, Drums.
Also surviving are his cherished grandsons, Damian and wife Alyssia, Mikel,
and Ty. Also surviving are sisters, Joan, April, Cheryl, Bonnie and husband
John, Lea and husband Gary, and brother Walter, and many nieces and
nephews.
Joey loved to pass his time by watching the Phillies and Eagles. He enjoyed
trips to the casino as well as attending his grandsons’ sporting events.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 07, at 11:00 AM at the
Joseph B. Conahan Funeral Home, 532 N. Vine St. Hazleton, PA. Rev. Sue
Schaeffer will officiate the service.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until time of service.
