Mary A (Breznicky) Guerrieri

Mary A. Guerrieri of Hazleton passed away early Monday morning at Providence Place Senior Living, Drums,
where she resided the past year.
Born and raised in Hazleton, she was the daughter of the late John and Susan (Fotto) Breznicky. She was a
1945 graduate of Hazle Township High School.
Upon completion of high school, Mary was the secretary to the Superintendent of the Hazle Township School
District from 1945 to 1950.
In 1950 Mary married the love of her life, Guy Guerrieri. They celebrated sixty-five years of marriage. They
began their family and in 1967 relocated to King of Prussia. Together they founded and operated Guy’s Junior
Shoe World.
After running a successful business, they returned to Hazleton to enjoy their family and friends.
Mary was active in many organizations, and with her devotion to the community, she and her husband
attended many Charity events.
In addition to being a devoted wife and mother, Mary was an accomplished seamstress, creating beautiful
clothing and miniature doll outfits to the delight of the neighborhood girls.
She was deeply devoted to her faith and was a long-standing member of Most Precious Blood Church. She
and Guy loved the life they shared and enjoyed being a member of the Valley Country Club.
Preceding in death was her husband Guy R. Guerrieri in 2015 and two brothers, John and Robert Breznicky.
Mary leaves behind her loving children, son Chris Guerrieri, Fort Myers, Florida, Daughter Ann Guerrieri-Marsh
and husband Thomas, San Antonio, Texas, cherished grandchildren, Kevin Marsh, Eric Guerrieri and Numerous
nieces and nephews.
Mary will live in the hearts of her loving family and friends and will be remembered as a kind, energetic
woman. She felt truly blessed for her life and her family.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10 AM at Most Precious Blood Church. The family
will receive friends at the church from 9 AM to 10 AM at the church prior to the mass.
Interment will follow in Most Precious Blood Cemetery.
Donation in memory of Mary may be made to the American Diabetic Association.
