Patricia Buglio Obituary

Patricia “Pat” Buglio, 91, a lifelong resident of Hazleton, passed away Thursday
evening at Fritzingertown Senior Living Community, Drums, surrounded by her
devoted husband and her loving family following a fearless battle with heart disease.
Prior to residing at Fritzingertown she and her husband relocated to Conyngham to
live with their son John and wife Kim Buglio and family.
Born and raised in Beaverbrook, on February 14, 1932 she was the daughter of the
late Daniel and Elizabeth (Boney) Mulligan.
Pat graduated from St. Gabriel’s High School Class of 1949. Upon graduation she
earned a Business Degree from McCann School of Business and later became
employed as a Business Assistant at both Sargant Art Crayon and Metropolitan Life
Insurance.
On August 13, 1960, she married her soul mate Joe Buglio at St. Gabriel’s Church of
Hazleton. They shared 63 beautiful years of marriage.
Pat was a lifelong member of Annunciation Parish, Church of St. Gabriel. She had a
deep devotion to the Blessed Mother and recited the Rosary often.
Pat was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She lovingly hosted
many family gatherings and weekly Sunday family dinners. Her greatest joy was
babysitting and doting on her grandchildren. Pat was an avid animal lover and
especially loved walking the family dog, Blackie, and cuddling her cat Stevie. She
also loved cooking, knitting, reading and solving crime mysteries, doing jig-saw
puzzles, card playing and bowling with her friends and grandchildren, as well as
traveling with her husband.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by an infant daughter Jean Ann
Buglio and the following sisters and brother. Elizabeth Fagan, Margaret Thomas,
baby sister Mary Jean Mulligan and Daniel Mulligan.
Pat leaves behind her loving and devoted husband, Joseph Buglio and her cherished
children, Mary Buglio, Conyngham, JoAnn Buglio, Conyngham, Patricia Galloway,
West Hazleton, Thomas Buglio and wife Lonita, Newark Delaware, John Buglio and
wife Kim, Conyngham.

Also her cherished grandchildren who knew her as grandma, Anthony Buglio,
Brandon Buglio, Kevin Buglio, Joseph Buglio and wife Cassie, Jack Buglio, Casey Galloway
and fiancé Jason Proski, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 AM at Annunciation
Parish, Church of St. Gabriel, Hazleton. Burial will follow in St. Gabriel Cemetery,
Hazleton. Relatives and friends may call from 9 AM to 10 AM at the Church, prior to
the mass.
The family would like to thank the entire Fritzingertown Senior Living Community
and Maylath's Home Health Care for their compassionate and professional caregiving.
