Patricia A. Donahue passed away peacefully early Thursday morning at
Forrest Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare center, Weatherly, where she
had been a guest.
Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Frances
(Dougherty) Donahue. Patty as she was affectionately known to all,
relocated with her parents and sister to Mountaintop. She grew up in a
loving home and graduated in 1966 for St. Leo’s High School in Ashley.
For many years Patty was employed in the banking industry and was
greatly appreciated by the clients she served daily with kindness and a
smile.
Having devout faith, she was a member of Good Shepherd Church, Drums.
Preceding in death were her parents Eugene and Frances Donahue.
Patty is survived by her loving and caring sister Veronica Sabol and
husband Stephen, Hazleton, nieces Jacqueline Roe and husband Justin,
Stephanie Styler and husband Alex, Tim Sabol and husband Judd Flesch,
and four great nieces and one great nephew.
At Patty’s request a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated privately at
Good Shepherd Church, Drums. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
Donations in Patty’s memory may be made to Hazleton Catholic Social
Services 106 South Church St, Hazleton.
