Ricky Bruce Felty

Ricky Bruce Felty, age 76, of Hazleton, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday,
October 22, 2024, at his home.

Born in Shelby, Ohio, on September 28, 1948, to the late Walter and Teresa (Amato)
Felty, Ricky graduated from Shelby High School in 1967. In 1968, he was drafted into
the military and served with honor in the Vietnam War, where he was awarded two
Bronze Stars and a Purple Heart.

Ricky moved to Hazleton in 2000, where he worked as the maintenance supervisor for
St. Gabriel’s Church. His dedication to the parish was evident in the meticulous care he
took with the church, rectory, and cemetery grounds, which he treated with the utmost
respect and pride.

He is survived by his two daughters, Traci E. Hamman, and Tammi J. Armstrong; one
son, Todd A. Felty; four grandsons; and one great-grandson.
Remembered for his kindness and compassion, Ricky made a lasting impact on the
community of St. Gabriel’s Parish, where his love for the parishioners and unwavering
commitment to his work were greatly appreciated.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at 1:30
PM at Annunciation Parish, Church of St. Gabriel’s, Hazleton, PA. Military honors will
follow outside the church. A burial service will take place at Most Pure Heart of Mary
Catholic Cemetery in Shelby, Ohio, at a later date. Eulogies in Ricky’s honor will be
shared before the Mass, beginning at 1:00 PM.

Donations in his memory may be made to Annunciation Parish, Church of St. Gabriel’s.
